He is looking for a habitable surface area of about 200m2 with 4-beds on land of about 1 hectare (2 or so acres). The property must be in a countryside location with good views. The location has to be peaceful with no near neighbours. A swimming pool would be a plus but is not essential.
There is no problem if work is needed but the client does not wish to have to do major work such as re-roofing.
A separate holiday cottage, or the possibility of creating one, would be a real bonus.
Budget up to around 350,000 euros.
